I’m a UX designer based in Singapore, working at NCS Pte Ltd.
Before joining NCS, I was at a startup called Decision Science Agency Pte Ltd working on projects for financial institutions (such as Great Eastern and Prudential) and government projects (such as National Environment Agency and Maritime Port Authority).
In Nov 2021, during COVID work-from-home days, I created my Instagram channel to teach UXUI to beginners who want to try their hand at design.
My journey to becoming a UX designer
Being in a startup, everyone often has to wear multiple hats. In my case, I picked up UI design tools (back then it was Sketch and InVision) and offered to help out with projects when the designers were too busy.
Gradually I was given not only research work, but also more design-related work and transitioned to becoming a UX designer.
